Choosing the car to reach the Naturhotel Rainer and your well-deserved holiday is a flexible and uncomplicated solution. The car is also convenient on site to reach the numerous excursion and tour destinations as you wish.
Arriving from the north on the A13 motorway from Innsbruck in the direction of Brenner/Bolzano
Cross the well-known Europa bridge, pass the Schönberg toll booth and continue in the direction of the Brenner Pass. From the Brenner Pass head towards Bolzano and after about 16 km take the Vipiteno exit. At the first roundabout, take the third exit in the direction of Val di Giovo and after about 3 km, in the village of Casateia, turn left and follow the very winding road into our beautiful ‘valley of tranquillity’. After about 4 km you will arrive in Val di Mezzo, right in the middle of Val di Giovo. The Naturhotel Rainer is also located here.
Arriving from the south on the A22 motorway from Bolzano in the direction of Brenner
After about 70 km leave the motorway at the Vipiteno exit. At the first roundabout, take the third exit in the direction of Val di Giovo and after about 3 km, in the village of Casateia, turn left and follow the very winding road into our beautiful ‘valley of tranquillity’. After about 4 km you will arrive in Val di Mezzo, right in the middle of Val di Giovo. The Naturhotel Rainer is also located here.
A journey without traffic jams or queues: that is why travelling by train is relaxing, even over long distances. Take a good book or newspaper with you and enjoy the wonderful landscape as you travel to South Tyrol. Most of us drive several kilometres to work every day and maybe even travel by car during working hours. For this reason, more and more people want to do without a car on holiday and choose to travel by public transport.
In South Tyrol, transport services are well organised. Buses and shuttles make it easy to reach the hotel or to travel from the hotel to Vipiteno or Bressanone for shopping and sightseeing. There is also a hiking shuttle in Racines that will take you to the starting point of your excursion. Your car-free holiday can begin!

Are you facing a long journey or simply want to reach your destination quickly and comfortably? Then we recommend travelling by plane. South Tyrol has its own small airport in Bolzano, which hosts flights to and from various national and international cities. There are several options to reach South Tyrol by plane, and a shuttle service is also available from Innsbruck or Munich airport. For example, from Munich you can take the shuttle to Vipiteno, where we will be happy to pick you up personally.
