In the sauna at our wellness hotel

Perspire and... breathe deeply

Let yourself go in the timeless atmosphere of our sauna area - a place where you can concentrate exclusively on your breathing, surrounded by tranquillity.

In the saunas of our Naturhotel here in Racines you will experience nature as a world of Alpine fragrances. You will feel the energy of the wood in a dwarf pine Aufguss (steam blast aromatised with essential oils) in our Finnish sauna, you will be enveloped in soothing lavender aromas in the steam bath, and you will breathe deeply in our eucalyptus emotional shower. But whatever you choose, breathe consciously. That is all you need right now. It is the best way to help your body de-acidify during the sauna and to bring your consciousness back to the here and now.

As a finishing touch, you can treat yourself to a walk in the cold water of our Kneipp bath.

Saunas & Co. at Naturhotel Rainer

Sauna in the wood

Our sauna in the wood is a Finnish sauna, the most popular type of sauna. Here, due to the particularly dry air (about 10 per cent humidity) and temperatures ranging from 80° to 100°C, sweating is almost instantaneous.

To relax the muscles, the Kneipp therapy path is then used, resulting in a sequence of hot and cold that also has physiological effects, such as lowering blood pressure and stimulating circulation, metabolism and the immune system.

And then... every day, in our sauna in the middle of the wood, exciting themed infuses!

Herbal biosauna

Our herbal biosauna is a relaxing alternative to the dry Finnish sauna. With temperatures between 50° and 65°C, the biosauna allows you to enjoy pleasant warmth and relaxation (humidity approx. 60-65%).

Surrounded by the natural scent of our Val di Giovo herbs, the senses are stimulated and the body and mind revitalised. In addition, the essential oils also have a positive effect on the respiratory tract. This type of sauna is also particularly suitable for beginners.

Turkish bath

The average temperature is 35-55°C, but our steam bath reaches almost 100 per cent humidity.

If the bath is used correctly, the strain on the circulation is moderate and the effect on the body is relaxing and regenerating. Heat is known to increase well-being, reduce stress and promote recovery.

The steam also thoroughly cleanses the skin by removing dead cells.

Infrared cabin

Infrared cabins are becoming increasingly important in the sauna industry, as they are less stressful on the body due to their more moderate heat. On average, a temperature of 50°C is reached.

Infrared light is a deep thermal radiation that charges the body with energy. By increasing the so-called internal body temperature, our immune system is stimulated to mobilise more energy for a short period. This stimulates metabolic processes and increases the blood flow to the tissues, while at the same time improving the elimination of metabolic waste products, which is why the use of the infrared cabin is particularly suitable for relieving muscle contractions.

The right sauna

The important thing is not how much you sweat, but how good you feel.

Your body will tell you exactly what it needs. Adapt your sauna session to your well-being and try to find your own rhythm between hot and cold, movement and relaxation, socialising and resting.

Adults-only area

From our Family SPA with indoor pool, herbal sauna, small steam bath, infrared cabin and lounge with tea and snack corner you can access the adults-only area.

Surrounded by silence, settle down on the relaxation loungers or in one of the themed bunks with lavender, mountain hay, sheep wool or stone pine. Behind them is another sauna area and a large steam bath. By following the relaxation path you exit onto the outdoor terrace with loungers and a small outdoor pool.
